R. G. (Shelley) Krovitz

Rochelle G. Krovitz was in private practice in Denver, Colorado. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, B.A., cum laude; Northwestern University, M.A.; University of Denver Law School, J.D., with honors; and was a staff writer on the Denver University Law Review. Ms. Krovitz  practiced law in Denver since 1982. Her practice was limited to commercial real estate, commercial leasing and construction law.

 

She is a member of the American Bar Association�s Advisory Panel General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section. She is the past chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Women in the Law committee and is a past Vice-President of the Colorado Women�s Bar Association Foundation Board of Directors. She is also active on a number of community non-profit boards and committees.  Ms. Krovitz has been a featured speaker on real estate broker agency relationships, commercial real property leasing, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. 

 

Ms. Krovitz was also a mediator for commercial real estate and commercial contract matters.

Background

Ms. Krovitz has substantial background and experience in commercial leasing of all kinds and devoted a substantial portion of her day to day practice to such matters. Ms. Krovitz has represented a number of prominent regional and national landlords on whose behalf she has negotiated leases with numerous national corporations as tenants. In addition, Ms. Krovitz has substantial expertise in the acquisition and sale of real property and in the field of construction law and has worked on many commercial developments, construction projects and environmental remediation projects. Representative matters in which Ms. Krovitz has been involved in are as follows:

 


Leasing of approximately 2,500,000 square feet of office, industrial and retail space

 


Represented publicly-traded pension funds and REITS in connection with acquiring, leasing, and managing properties in the Denver Metropolitan area

 


Architectural and construction contracts for an 80 unit residential condominium project in Pebble Beach, California

 


Architectural and construction contracts for a national investment banking firm's corporate retreat in Beaver Creek, Colorado

 


Engineering and construction contracts for a large rural environmental remediation project

 


Architectural and construction contracts for asbestos abatement in a historic downtown Denver building

 


Acquisition and disposition for private and institutional parties of office, commercial, and retail properties and vacant land, including financing arrangements

 


Participated in negotiation and documentation of financing arrangements for a national real estate lender
